I'm so glad that there is an opportunity to comment on this proposal.

I believe that maintaining full protection of the greenbelt is critical to the health and well-being of the Greater Golden Horseshoe. There are many more innovative and attractive ways to increase access to sustainable housing in the region. I am staunchly opposed to the proposed project.

During this era of climate crisis and disaster, it is irresponsible to permanently destroy protected areas for development. These areas are valuable farmlands (people need to eat), natural spaces (people need access to nature for their mental health), and biologically rich zones that are critical for the survival of nature and wildlife in the area.

To divert acres of protected land toward development projects would be absolutely tragic for the region. PLEASE do not destroy the Greenbelt for everyone in order for a small few to profit.
