This is an embarrassing…

This is an embarrassing proposal for anyone that recognizes the science that climate change is happening. The results will be many more millions in taxpayer dollars in future recovery, compensation and relief efforts. The Greenbelt and other natural areas are our defenses, our resilience and natural mitigation against the worst. We need to be protecting them and beefing up support of living in harmony with trees and nature, not reducing input and barriers through groups that work for the betterment of these areas, and for us all. Housing can be developed in many other ways that are not so detrimental to our childrens' future.

The Ford govt has lost my vote just by suggesting such lazy ways to proceed with housing development. Ways that are more detrimental than beneficial, in both the grand scheme and at municipal control levels.

Perhaps I'll look into moving my business to BC. I am lucky that I can move and it's always been a thought on the back burner. Ontario is putting the short term economy above the long term health and success of everyone and I can't abide such myopic views where I raise my kids.
