It is absoutley appalling to even consider the greenbelt for any form of development of any kind. We have already seen the effects of climate chnage and wiping areas that are protected. The amount of animals we've caused to go extinct ,the damage to the north pole and ocean. We do not need more protected spaces and wildlife harmed for properties. We have properties. So many empty plots and plots with buildings that just sit wasting away. Yes it does cost more to upgrade and fix or demolish and move buildings. It is clear though that there is a budget to do this route. Over causing more harm to our planet. There is no point in building houses at all in general if it is going to ruin more of our chances of sustaining a healthy happy life on earth. What we are experiencing now is starting to become an unhappy healthy life.
