This goes against the promises at the foundation of the Ford government’s election. It is deceitful to state that the green belt would not be touched during campaigning, and then go against that promise once elected. The houses built along the proposed green belt development would most likely be destroyed by the flooding the green belt protects us from. There are plenty of alternative options for affordable housing including, but not limited to making use of the empty skyscrapers in Toronto to make high density housing options. The environment should not have to pay for your government’s incompetence.
