I implore the Ontario government to halt its plans to develop the Greenbelt. It is imperative to permanently protect this ecologically, agriculturally, and culturally important land. We must start to think further ahead to the legacy we are leaving for future generations of Ontarians. We need to look beyond the easy solutions and consider developing other areas of the province and we cannot rely on developers to behave responsibly and in the best interests of anyone other than their shareholders.
