I strongly oppose this amendment. It is simply a gift to a select group of Developers who own land in the Greenbelt.
The Housing Affordability Task Force Report (Feb 8, 2022) concluded that with regards to housing affordability: "...a shortage of land isn’t the cause of the problem. Land is available, both inside the existing built-up areas and on undeveloped land outside greenbelts."
Compel Developers sitting on the lands already set aside for development to develop those lands, and protect the prime agricultural and natural areas already within the Greenbelt. That is it's purpose.
