I am disgusted with this…

I am disgusted with this government’s proposal to build on the green belt. I heard Doug Ford say that he needs 50000 homes and that we are in a housing crisis. First, how about repurposing all the empty buildings and land we have in the City of Toronto and GTA into housing? This would mean residents would have access to public transit routes and local businesses. Second, how did we get to this crisis? Poor infrastructure planning and management, for years. Over-promising and acceptance of new immigrants when the children of Ontarians who have been paying taxes for many years cannot afford or find suitable housing near their families. Third, it’s quite obvious that nepotism is happening here with regards to location and potential building contracts. Finally, Doug PROMISED not to touch the green belt which continues to slowly be eroded by government. Just because he is in power for another 4 years doesn’t mean he can simply go back on his promises. He made this commitment and was elected on this commitment. Find a better solution because this is NOT an option! The Conservative government needs to focus on the real crisis now… HEALTHCARE and EDUCATION!!! Keep your promises, DOUG! We will remember your actions in the next election.
