All wetlands are important. Ontario needs homes, but this should not come at the expense of nature. Not only are wetlands crucial habitats for the flora and fauna of our province, but they serve as an ecological sponge, filtering out the pollution we are pumping into the atmosphere. Climate change is already going to greatly affect our quality of life in the coming years; this will surely expedite that process.
