In the middle of a climate crisis, this government should not be moving forward with these amendments to remove land from the Greenbelt. Opening this land for low-density housing development on the fringes of the GTA will only encourage more sprawl, car dependency and pollution. We should be building new homes and increasing density near transit and existing services.

Removing land from the Greenbelt will only encourage more land speculation, backroom dealing between developers and the Conservative Party and destroy natural lands that we will never get back. This government should be ashamed of itself.
