I do not support any of the recommendations that would remove lands from the Greenbelt Area, nor do I support the redesignating of lands in the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan area. I do support adding lands in the Paris Galt Moraine to the Greenbelt Area. The Greenbelt Area as is critical to climate change resiliency for Ontario; and by covering it in urban sprawl, you will significantly risk Ontario's ability to mitigate the environmental challenges we are and will face.

If you truly want to tackle the housing problem in Ontario, you need to focus on increasing density and transit-oriented communities. Urban sprawl and car reliant communities will not solve affordability. Increasing the missing middle and affordable housing options in communities that already have access to transit will help with affordability.

Eroding the Greenbelt and expanding urban sprawl will be one of the biggest mistakes this province will ever make.
