As a very concerned citizen, living in one of the developed countries (a G7 country!!!), and in one of the most successful, advanced and thriving province of the country, I find appalling that this newly elected government it's killing the only concrete plan and measures that were put in place to tackle the most existential threat of the country and of our species - severe climate changes inflicted by humans' way of life.
I urge this government to put in place the minimum legislation that can at least give us a chance to change the course of our current pollution inflicted in our environment and achieve the targets set by (almost)all nations at the Paris Agreement.
In short, I want a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help people and businesses to save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy.

Just to name a few of the ideas that I think should be tackled by such legislation:
* I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
* I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050. (solar, wind, nuclear fusion)
* I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
* I want Ontario to invest in educational programs that can turn future students in the future experts of the clean energy solutions and environmental solutions.
* I want Ontario to invest in programs and infrastructure plans that can encourage the population of big metropolitan areas to use public transportation (were the system has to be more efficient than currently is) and were electric cars and the associated charging infrastructure should be prioritized as much as possible (See Norway's wide-nation strategy).

I truly hope that these comments will be at least read by someone in authority and will encourage you to act until is not too late for all of us!

Respectfully,
Another concerned Canadian and Global Citizen.
