Removing land from Greenbelt…

Removing land from Greenbelt lands does not solve Ontario's housing supply crisis. The "More Homes Built Faster Act" is a very ill advised poor plan. It does not use modern urban planning concepts and does not solve Ontario's housing problems. Ontario's Greenbelt was created to protect the headwaters of rivers that flow into lake Ontario, to preserve valuable farmland, and to connect the forest and wetland ecosystems that run in an arc across the top of the GTA and the Niagara Region. Once this land is lost, it is lost forever. Premier Ford promised to continue to preserve this Greenbelt land for the people of Ontario for future generations. The "More Homes Built Faster" plan constitutes to urban sprawl, highway congestion and does not solve Ontario's housing problem.
