Hello, I understand the wish…

Hello,
I understand the wish to create more housing for those who are coming to Canada and for those that are needing housing within the coming years, but I do not believe that this is the proper way to complete this. The title "More Homes Built Faster" worries me, as I don't know if this intends for quantity over quality, which I believe that a quality home is something that needs to be put first. I also believe that the Greenbelt is something that should be protected. In school, I have learned a substantial amount about the taking of Indigenous lands by government, whether that be under provincial or federal jurisdiction, but it is something that was promised to them through various land agreements. These land agreements were not upheld by these governments, which I fear could happen with regard to the Greenbelt and the building of houses. We need to enable individuals to protect land that has been safeguarded for various reasons, such as the general protection of wildlife. I personally don't believe that we should be taking land that has been promised to be safeguarded, or has been promised to Indigenous individuals, so I believe that other options should be looked at instead.
