Submission

I support the cancellation of the Provincial Cap and Trade legislation with the following provisos.

1. Ontario drop it's legal action against the federal Carbon pricing backstop.
2. Ontario advocates that all Carbon fee revenues generated by the federal backstop program in Ontario is returned to Ontario residents in the form of equal monthly dividend cheques to individuals (i.e. fee and dividend).
3. All outstanding permits issued under the Cap and Trade program be honoured as credits in the federal backstop program.
4. Ontario pressure the federal government to increase federal backstop Carbon fees to meet the goal of the Paris Climate Agreement to keep temperatures rising 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
5. Ontario to end all subsidies to fossil fuel companies.
