The fact that we are going backwards and trashing hard won environmental guidelines is just evil and breaks my heart. It's bad enough that we continue to ignore the NUMBER ONE cause of Global Warming: the raising, slaughter and consumption of animals by humans which creates more global destruction than the carbon emissions from every form of transportation in the world put together, but to obliterate the small changes that have been made to help heal the planet is insane. Here's what I want:
I want a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help people save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy.
I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050
I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
I want Ontario to take a serious look at animal husbandry and factory farms and the damage that these practices are doing to the environment - unconscionable waste of water, methane emissions, pollution of lakes, rivers and streams and the disastrous effect consumption of animal products has on human health and our health care system.
