This bill, as other proposed bills made by this current Ontario government, is short-sighted and I’ll-planned. This will not “solve” the current housing crisis in Canada and will definitely not make housing more affordable. You are taking away naturally diverse and beautiful lands from this great province in order to advance your own gains. You are not doing this for the good of the people living in this province, you’re doing it for yourself. You are creating a potential climate crisis in our own back yard by developing these green spaces. You are also forcing people to live in areas where they will have to depend on motor transportation to travel further distances to their places of employment, thus increasing the overall emissions that we are so desperately trying to reduce. In summary, once again this Ontario government has shown how little they truly care about the people that live in this great province. I’m not surprised, just once again disappointed.
