I am NOT in favor of Premier…

I am NOT in favor of Premier Ford's decision to scrap the cap-and-trade program. I feel that decision was made without consultation with the people of Ontario, and is therefore undemocratic. We have an Environmental Bill of Rights for a reason.

In addition - I also feel that the policy decision is short sighted and based on some irrational and clearly uneducated opinion on what is 'best' for the people of this province. I for one am someone who actually understands the importance of having policies in place that protect our environment. I have nowhere else to live and breath!! And neither do you! The air, water and soil quality impact us right now and every day while we reside on this planet!! To conjure up some delusional argument that by cancelling this program we are saving a few dollars, and some how THAT is more important then protecting our environment is ignorant.

An investment in our environment and and any program that protects it is a wise investment in our health.
