It is essential our natural environment be protected for existing and future generations. As such we need to stop any and all development on greenspaces in order to protect headwaters of our streams, aquifers, single wetlands and wetland complexes, grasslands, meadows and forests. Protection of these areas is essential to promote watershed protection, natural wildlife corridors and ecosystem diversity. Farmland needs to be protected to ensure that our food source is healthy, reliable and close to those who consume it.
Once these lands are lost to development, the natural environment and the health and well-being of Ontarians is at risk.
