Request for Urban Area Boundary Expansion
985-999 Bridge Street West, 730 King Street North and Part of Lot 5, Reference Plan 58R-10258 Part 1, Township of Woolwich
We are writing to request that the Minister make an amendment to ROPA 6 for the purposes of including the above-noted lands within the Region of Waterloo Countryside Line and Urban Area Boundary. In doing so, the subject site would become available for development.
The inclusion of the subject site within the Regional Countryside Line and Urban Area Boundary is appropriate and desirable from a planning perspective. In particular, the subject site would provide for approximately 44 hectares of quickly serviceable and near shovel ready lands that are strategically located to accommodate an array of uses, including a mix of residential and commercial uses, or the provision of a major employer or institutional use.
