I strongly object to Bill 4…

I strongly object to Bill 4 and any submission to repeal Cap and Trade legislation.

I am committed to a greener, healthier, sustainable environment. This means redirecting our economies and energies toward sustainable sources and resources. To do so we need a strong plan to encourage and support the transition. Until the Ontario government can propose a better plan I demand that all members of the current government do everything they can to support the existing legislation.

I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050.
I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
I want a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help us save energy and create visionary opportunities and jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy.
I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so we can lower our carbon footprint.

It is vital that we change how we operate. We depend on you, the members of our government, to see the big big picture and keep us moving in the right direction. Our lives depend upon it.
