The current crisis that Ontario citizens are facing to find an affordable home is considerable. The County of Simcoe’s population has been growing rapidly for some time and the need for more affordable, attainable and accessible housing is needed in order to accommodate the population growth. Facilitating development through the policies encompassed within the County's Official Plan will be a major step that will contribute to the solution and provide citizens a wide range of affordable housing types along with necessary community services such as long-terms care units.
