Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte on February 24, 2021 adopted the Township’s Employment Land Strategy which is to be used to inform future plans, policy direction and decisions to ensure that the Township’s employment land supply is sufficient to accommodate both near-term and longer-term demand.

Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte on October 5, 2022 adopted the Township’s Updated Official Plan pursuant to Section 26 of the Planning Act. This Official Plan Update, amongst other matters, incorporated the recommendations of the Township’s Employment Land Strategy by designating additional lands for employment uses. This is necessary to ensure there is adequate supply of employment lands to accommodate long-term demand and to satisfy the Township's employment objectives.
