I am an Ontario resident and want this province to put a price on carbon emissions. It is manifestly unfair that we should all equally bear the costs of pollution when we do not all equally contribute to their cause. We need to make polluters pay for their emissions and return the revenues directly back to citizens so we can lower our overall carbon footprint. Repealing the Cap and Trade program without a more aggressive replacement policy goes against everything Ontario stands for in terms of responsible environmental stewardship and good government.
