It is a sad time when our government is marginalizing planning for climate change. To me such a point of view is unfair and callous to future generations and our common earth. I think it is a failure of imagination to hold that it is impossible to be accountable for our environmental impact and to plan in ways that can both give people meaningful work and support a world with less pollution and environmental damage. I believe that being accountable for and reducing our environmental footprint needs to be at the centre stage of policy decisions.

I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.

I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.

I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050.

I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
