The only way we can curb our society's dependence on carbon is by having the government promote and incentivise alternate energy sources. It is short sighted to put our future environment at risk so that we can save a buck today. If the Ford's want their grandchildren to keep enjoying their nice cottage away from the city then they should keep a price on carbon.
