Carbon pricing works. The evidence is there and it is solid. Not only does it reduce carbon outputs but it also has been shown to provide economic benefits to 4 Canadian provinces where it has been operating. Fee and Dividend programs work. Canada has made its commitment to the Paris Agreement. Please honour it. This is about putting the brakes on climate change NOW. The IPCC report just issued their update and it is very clear that aggressive action needs to be taken NOW. Don’t move us backward; move us forward by keeping the current carbon pricing in place and improving it. The evidence is there to show the benefits of carbon pricing. Please use evidence -based decision making for the benefit of all Canadian citizens as well as all global citizens.
