The fact that in 2018 we are having enthusiastic calls to demolish climate change and carbon controlling pieces of legislation is absolutely disgusting. Situations like this have a pebble effect - this seemingly “small” change to “benefit” Ontarians such as myself is ultimately stealing from the future. I am against any changes to this legislation and as a citizen of Ontario call for my government to do what is right instead of what is convenient. Do not cancel the cap and trade. It’s short term gain is not worth the long term loss. If this government is as capable as it boasts to be — show it. Figure out an alternative that keeps cap + trade plus our pledge to lower carbon a priority. Climate change is a real threat and should be treated as such. Instead of a gimmick to make money off of.. friendly reminder that the money people worship came from nature; trees and ore.
