Science has made it abundantly clear that ignoring climate change will become more and more expensive for the global human community (of which Ontario is a part). Economists consider pricing carbon pollution as the most cost-effective way to reduce emissions. If Mr. Ford has a better and cheaper way to produce the massive change we need in our economy to address climate change then let's hear it, please. Hopefully he actually has a plan. Simply ignoring the problem would be deeply irresponsible and will ultimately cost us all much more than a carbon tax.
