As a resident of Port Weller East, I strongly disagree with SSonix being able to continue their operation in the current location. I have never heard of a cause of explosion being released where a life was lost and caused the evacuation of an entire community. This is explosion was extremely terrifying for our family. When something like this happens it is very concerning that the government would just allow the same company to resume operations. A company that handles hazardous waste and has proven that they are unable to handle it in a safe manner has no business to resume operations in a residential neighbourhood. I am shocked that the Ministry of Environment would even consider to allow this company to resume operations after the destruction and environmental impacts that the explosion caused. Please do the right thing and do not allow this company to resume operations.
