A government that doesn't understand or ignores history is destined to repeat mistakes. Under the Harris Government, efforts to reduce oversight and management of drinking water lead directly to the water tragedy in Walkerton. The current government thinks that it needs to reduce oversight and relax approvals to expediate growth but this is counter productive, if the water sources to supply new development is not adequately protected. Housing projects can be achieved without jeopardizing the safety of drinking water sources. Please rethink these initiatives and learn from history.
