Remember the Brenntag fire…

Remember the Brenntag fire that polluted Mimico creek because the site didn't have spill protection and runoff found its way into the storm sewers?

Well just two weeks later the Ford government posted their proposal to "streamline stormwater approvals". If you read the posting and attached supporting documents, the plan is to remove permit application requirements and to move it to a "self service" online registry.

This means large scale industrial and commercial developments will no longer be required to obtain a permit from the ministry of the environment.

I will not vote for Conservative if this "Streamlining" goes through. And I previously was.
