I attended the York meeting…

I attended the York meeting in the town of Dresden and i am a resident of this town . York would not answer a lot of question about safety for our town and water ways runner through the town. The old site of the dump has not been used as a dump in years and the ponds and water ways that run very close to it have many endangered wild life in that area along with many trees . The water flow that runs through the site goes to or next to Mollys Creek which drains into Sydenham river then to Lake St.Clair through many small towns along the way. Many people have well water in that area along that water way that could become contaminated if this (York) company is approved . Also the air will be contaminated with all the trucks traveling to this site as York wants to run 24/7 with very large amounts of trash to the area. And with the Ontario and Federal Government wanting to fix Climate Change and doing away with fossil fuels all these trucks coming to Dresden is not the fix along with York wanting to run a diesel crusher at this site, and diesel fumes are a cause for cancer. The Sydenham river has flooded into many small towns and also Dresden many times over the years and into parks and streets in Dresden . I have many pictures if you would like them of the floods , in 1904,1947,1968,and 1985 and the river has not been upgraded to help fix the flooding. But York did not care about this and all they seem to want is to make big money and not care about the towns . One comment they made was to take waste water on a day by day basis to our filtration plant . Ours can not handle that waste water , as it is now it can't handle the canning factory that is in our town . I am asking you to not approve there request as they have shown us that they have not been truthful in many areas . As they have applied for a draining of there site back in November 2023 to drain into Mollys Creek and no one in this town knew of this . I also wish someone from the Ministry of Environment could attend the next meeting York is putting on March 1/2024 at our Town arena to hear in person the Dresden people concerns.
