From the Town of Halton Hills Planning staff: Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on the Proposed Amendments to Ontario Regulation 73/23: Municipal Planning Data Reporting. Below please find the Town of Halton Hills’ staff comments:

• Potential impacts and areas of concern: Planning and Development staff will be required to provide this data to the province beginning October 1, 2024. The Town has been added to this regulation given our recent Housing Pledge. Staff are in the process of finalizing a Growth Monitoring Model tool and an online development application portal, both of which will assist in the collection and tracking of the required information.
• Staff recommendation: Staff recommend that the Province develop an online reporting portal or system to assist municipalities with seamless delivery of the requested data.
