As a home owner living…

As a home owner living beside Langstaff and Hwy 400 I vehemently oppose the construction of high rise buildings (or similar) in the area. This area is already highly congested and thus construction will make it significantly worse. Crime in this area is already at an all time high with regular car jackings, home invasions, break and enters and car thefts (from driveways). Bringing more people to this area will further congest traffic and possibly bring more crime. With all of this happening the value of the area will significantly decline due to this construction and also negatively affect current homeowners privacy. I find it very under-handed that this information regarding the construction was not highly publicized. Home owners in the area have a right to have a say in whether our neighbourhood should be affected by this construction. We pay a lot of taxes to be able to have this right.
