After extensive boating on the Trent canal and the St Lawrence river, the damage these birds cause is very apparent. They will find a roost area and ruin the vegetation in that area. We have. Not a season, a year round cull. Maybe a criminal investigation into whoever allowed these dirty creatures to be set loose here. I have spent hours watching them take walleye and bass out of the Ottawa river, one can only imagine the damage caused by them in small water bodies.

The lack of control on this bird has allowed them to destroy a small island on our lake they now over run the lake. They are polluting the water and impacting the fish population some controll is necessary now.

I support a hunt season on the Double Crested Cormorant . We are seeing more and more Cormorant on our smaller inland lakes and the bait fish are declining from these fish eating birds. Islands and property around these lakes are being destroyed by these dirty birds. Lire davantage

This is certainly needed. There are too many cormorants on our lake on the Trent Severn System. They are destroying islands and the fishery.

Great idea. These birds have decimated the baitfish populations of the inland lakes and the Bay of Quinte. As well as the trees and plants in the area the nest are destroyed. Something needs to be done to curb the damage they have done.
