I am writing to express my strong opposition to Schedule 10 of Bill 66, which introduces “open-for-business by-laws” that would circumvent many of the requirements under several laws to ensure fair, consistent and transparent public engagement in land use decisions and protection of water, natural h Lire davantage

Bill 66 will open Ontario for business! Do we have to do it by threatening our environment and water supply? If we have nothing to worry about, then why first, did Ford promise not to touch the Greenbelt area . Lire davantage

I do not support bill 66. We need to preserve more green spaces not develop them and lose them forever. I also find the relationships betweentdevelopers and some government officials to be troubling ly close.

This legislation is a disgrace to the very word legislation. It is a rag-bag of changes to so many laws that protect our environment. I am absolutely horrified that our so-called government "FOR THE PEOPLE" could even think of cobbling together such a mess. Lire davantage

I am completely opposed to Bill 66 Restoring Ontario's Competitiveness Act 2018. This Act over reaches many of the critically important environmental protections that exist and is absolutely the kind of legislation that need to be guarded against. Thank you

In Ontario we are currently blessed with clean drinking water, rich farmland and clean air. We have wisely preserved many natural amd rural areas and enacted legislation to protect them from being mined or turned into housing. Lire davantage

Ontario has a rich history of occupation that dates back more than 12,000 years. The archaeological assessments completed each year in advance of development help fill in the gaps in the story of our Province, Indigenous Peoples and more recent settlers. Archaeology gives a voice to many who have Lire davantage

As I scan the proposals being proposed by the Ontario Government it is very obvious to me that the chief beneficiaries of these changes are once again big business and land developers. I don't see anything of substance that will benefit workers or their families. In fact, quite the opposite. Lire davantage

I am greatly concerned that the proposed Bill 66 will undermine current regulations protecting our natural heritage, farmland and water quality. Economic development is essential but must be done in a manner that protects our biodiversity and agricultural lands.

I am writing to you to ask that your government keep its promise to protect the Greenbelt and therefore call back legislature and introduce a new Bill 66 that stops the attacks on the Greenbelt, Oak Ridges Moraine, Lake Simcoe, Source Water Protection Areas and other important protected farm and nat Lire davantage
