Please do not open a bear hunt. We will not have any bears left if you keep killing the mother bears and the cubs will not survive. there are many places in the world that don't have any animals left so lets not make Canada one of those places. Also baiting bears should be illegal. Lire davantage

This is deplorably cruel. As a wildlife rehabber I have seen the licensed rehab numbers drop in half in the last five years. The spring tasks are overwhelming and leave folks with compassion fatigue. There is no financial help so the wildlife rehabbers do what they can on limited resources. Lire davantage

This is a negative idea and plan. And how unsporting using a baiting scheme. The timing stinks as there are cubs involved who will have no support. More and more I see the most inhumane things going on in regard to animals. What has happened to humanity? I am totally against this.

I am against the proposed spring hunt of black bears. Tweets from @TWC_Wildlife spell out the faults with the plan, and my personal concerns with regard to declining habitat and ongoing environmental concerns for all indigenous wildlife.

Please cancel the bear hunt! The mother bears are nursing their Cubs at this time. When the moms get baited and killed the babies die a horrible death of starvation. Bear and wolf populations are stable. Moose populations fluctuate due to man legislated hunts. Please prevent this cruel industry!

I do not agree with killing black bears or culling any wild animals. Black bears have low reproduction rates and in spring there is the very great risk of mothers leaving cubs in the den while foraging for food. If they are killed, their cubs will starve to death. Lire davantage

Bear cubs will continue to be orphaned if the hunt becomes permanent. While it’s currently against the law to kill cubs and mother bears accompanied by cubs, mother bears often leave their cubs in trees when searching for food. Lire davantage
