This killing of bears should not pass. Is inhumane and just for the satisfaction of hunters that dont have respect for the animals. Plus the bears deserve to exist in peace without hunters killing them. All wild life animals should be protect.

This proposal is very disturbing. We need to protect bear cubs and mother bears, not finds ways to eliminate that. Hunting bears will not improve human safety. Stopping human-bear conflict is achieved by removing access to garbage, and other items. Lire davantage

The province outlawed the spring bear hunt in 1999 because bear cubs were being orphaned after their mothers were shot to death. Please stop this heartless practice, killing things is not a sport !

Do not bring back the spring bear hunt. The only way bears should be killed is if they are a serious threat. Otherwise remove them to an area that is away from humans.

Please rethink the bear hunt regulations. A spring hunt can be devastating - one orphaned cub is one too many. Our wild creatures are an important part of the countryside for many people. A few hunters cannot be allowed call the shots !

As a lifetime resident of Ontario I am personally horrified at the proposal to re-start a spring Bear hunt. Although I oppose hunting as a whole I feel the spring hunt is particularly cruel and is clearly unnecessary for food. Lire davantage

Re-instating the practice of spring hunting of bears is unconscionable. How can it be acceptable to bait and shoot mother bears leaving young cubs to starve or be killed by predators? Such an act is immoral.
