It isn't bears who are a problem....it is humans. Stop humans from propagating and leave animals alone. They don't pollute, litter, destroy or murder. Humans are the ONLY vermin on this planet.

I say no to the bear hunt in the spring as the bears are just coming out of hibernation, and females will be having cubs. Nope just not right. Wait till fall to do this hunt ( which I think is totally unnecessary anyways ) but as usual the government won’t listen and do it anyway

I do not agree - we need to be protecting our wildlife not targeting vulnerable animals post hibernation - we are already pushing them further away and should be ensuring they thrive not hunting them.

As a former bear hunter and bear hunting guide in the province of Alberta I am 100 percent Against re opening of the spring bear hunt. I have witnessed on far too many occasions when mother bears ended up being shot and killed leaving the the young spring cubs orphaned to die a slow death. Lire davantage

As an Ontario resident, I urge the Ontario government to halt the Spring bear hunt. The Spring bear hunt was previously cancelled because of issues with killing mother bears and leaving orphan cubs. Baiting in the Spring exacerbates this. Lire davantage

I am totally against any permission for a spring bear hunt in the province of Ontario. Spring is the time when mother bears come out of their dens with brand new babies. If the mother is killed the babies will die too for lack of care. This is extremely cruel and must be eliminated. Lire davantage
