This is a direct attack on working poor and folks trying to get by on ODSP. Many folks rely on this mode of transportation for their independence, going to work, getting groceries, doctors appointments etc. They cannot afford insurance and maintenance of other vehicles. Lire davantage

Please, build proper segregated bike infrastructure like a cycle track (wide enough for 2 cyclists riding side by side and for cargo bikes). E-scooters can use these facilities, also. They should not be mixed with cars and also not mixed with pedestrians. Lire davantage

I ride an e-bike because I can't afford a car (insurance/gas/repairs), the last thing I want is to pay for insurance and licensing fees to ride my non polluting "bike" to work and back. Very bad idea when the e-bike is starting to gain traction with the public. Lire davantage

If you do this. Wait and see how many Ebikes will be going up and down secondary highways. Hey why not. Insured registered and licenced. Sorry office. It only goes 32 km and hour. But everything's legal.

There is no need to change the laws. I ride my bike according to the law as does my wife. We are unable to afford a vehicle and and insurance and gas and this option allows us to avoid using public transportation especially in times like now during the pandemic

It may sound like a good idea but then anyone on e bikes won’t be able to do Uber eats and help with demand unless they have a license and adding insurance would drive up the prices for car insurers and adding licenses to bikes has been done before and was a catastrophic fail..

I would be very sad I am 65 years old and have Parkinson’s I do not drive a car anymore but ride my ebike most days it my only form of transportation I pick up my food go to the doctor also just ride so I can get out of the house plus with COVID-19 it’s much safer than taking a bus if they would req Lire davantage

The current laws seem fine. Changing them now might take current riders off the road. Not everyone in Ontario can afford cars. The reason people want them is because of current laws. If anything they should be expanded upon. Lire davantage
