Let's not go back to before the 20th century, aye?? Solar- and wind-generated energy will NOT decrease biodiversity or increase atmospheric CO2, whereas removing and burning any of the boreal will!

Wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack. Increasing deforestation as a climate solution is not reasonable. Alternative employment for fossil fuel workers should not create more problems. What about filling up the closed mines?
