This is a travesty. The greenbelt is necessary for the future of Toronto, especially when it comes to what it is, a flood soak area. This is despicable and will be costly for generations! Lire davantage

Very disappointed in the lies this government has tried to sell. Gutting things because of dollar signs. The greenbelt is a beautiful part of southern ontario. Clearly this government cant wait to build homes all over it. Like literally over top. Lire davantage

I am completely and and categorically against any devil the greenbelt. This is not the answer to the housing crisis. As long as corporations and companies can buy houses, how will the individual/family ever be able to compete? Lire davantage

I absolutely disagree with the governments plans to pave the greenbelt. We need assistance in our hospitals and schools and an alternative transportation route. Please do better.

NO ONE is in support of this except lazy developers driven solely by profit. Ford made a promise, he's breaking it on the flimsiest of excuses to give his developer buddies PROFIT. Lire davantage

I do not agree with the decision to open up the green belt for urbanization. With rapid decrease in habitat, biodiversity loss, and climate change. This is not the solution we need. Our future and the future of this province depends on it. Lire davantage

We all know this is a rationalization to allow developers to get even richer. There is plenty of land for housing, it just hasn't been bought by developers yet. Surely the current Ontario Government can see how important the green belt is to all of us??

I oppose this plan strongly. Instead of taking the greenbelt why not allow denser housing in already developed areas? Oh it seems because our current politicians have been sold to the highest bidder. Housing Minister Steve Clark in Feb 21 2021: Lire davantage

There are currently 88,000 acres of land ready to be built upon for affordable housing. There is no need to take chunks of our Greenbelt. Bill 23 must be amended before going forward. Ontario citizens do not want the greenbelt touched. Lire davantage

A concerned ontarian writing to show my dissatisfaction with current Ontario govt and there disgraceful plans to tear through the green belt. Tax money is being wasted and the state of this province is worsening. Money shouldn't be allocated to highways but rather our crumbling health care system! Lire davantage

This proposal is an absolute sham and borderline criminal. It is particularly insulting as it stands to enrich developpers with NO GUARANTEE of benefits to the public. PUBLIC LAND SHOULD SERVE THE PUBLIC. If it is to be developped, it should be guaranteed community housing / afforbable housing. Lire davantage

Destroying the Greenbelt is short sighted and will leave our children and their children with an environmental desert. There are plenty of other options. This fees corrupt and short sighted

This is the usual nonsense from Doug and his developer buddies. There’s a Climate Crisis but let’s get rid of oxygenating green spaces and make way for what? The affordable housing that’s not coming because developers won’t build housing that’s affordable if they’re not forced to. Lire davantage

As a young person, I am terrified of the environmental ramifications the development of the Greenbelt will have for me and future generations. Doug Ford promised he would not touch the Greenbelt- we now know this is a lie. Lire davantage

Selling away the Greenbelt is unconscionable. We cannot overlook one of the most crucial natural areas in the region for the sake of homes. The urban sprawl in Ontario will be looked upon with shame in future generations if it cannot be tamed. Lire davantage
