It is crucial to leave the Green Belt intact for the animals and birds for the future as well as for the citizens of this wonderful Province. Partitioning it does not serve wildlife well, as they have their own family territories. Lire davantage

As currently written, Bill 23 would be a disaster for Ontario. As the climate crisis worsens, wetlands are essential to stave off expensive floods, and farmland is increasingly valuable - yet this bill would decimate both. Lire davantage

Allowing developers to build on the greenbelt is unconscionable. This government is beholden to these people. So developers have purchased land in the greenbelt, and now it is being removed. This government is not acting in the best interests of the people of Ontario. Lire davantage

The province needs smart intensification to address affordable housing, not urban sprawl in land designated to protect from future climate change disasters. The Greenbelt in it's entirety is inherently more valuable than any single family dwelling and fast urban sprawl can generate. Lire davantage

Keep the greenbelt and increase density in currently developed areas! WE DONT NEED MORE SINGLE FAMILY HOMES. This isn’t sustainable development, we need to plan better and think of how this affects our children and grandchildren.

Please, we beg of you, do NOT tear down and develop the Greenbelt. It part of what makes Ontario Ontario, and we're hurtling towards climate disaster. Let's not tear down the little green we have left, destroying the ecosystem and killing species. Lire davantage

The Greenbelt is the world's largest permanently protected green space. Its wetlands are essential to hundreds of species in Southern Ontario. In the current global warming crisis, The Ontario government needs to be protecting more green space, not removing it to make way for development. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose these amendments. The stated goal of providing more affordable housing will not be met through the construction of more single dweling structures in areas not accessible by public transit. Lire davantage

The conservative government and Doug Ford are taking away vital power from the conservation authorities and kneecapping the municipalities of ON. These decisions to pave over the greenbelt should not be made by one government and developers. Lire davantage

Huge NO to this proposal from me, an Oakridges resident for 16 years. Please stop this. There are many other solutions which are better to solve the housing and road crisis...listen to your advisors and think about your legacy and kid's future..

The greenbelt is not to be touched -- animals and wildlife don't just relocate. Look at who owns the land that is being proposed to be developed and how they are linked to government officials makes it pretty clear that this is nefarious and corrupt. This is just wrong. Lire davantage
