I completely oppose Premiere Ford’s proposal to redevelop the green belt for housing. This is vital wildlife that needs protection and Premiere Ford assured voters he would protect. Yes, we need more housing and particularly affordable housing in Ontario—but this is not the area to build it in.
I strongly oppose the proposed removal of lands from the Greenbelt. We should meet our housing goals by maximizing density in existing urban and suburban settlements, where city services already exist and can be expanded upon.

I am opposed to the redesignation of land to make way for the "more homes built faster" plan. If this land is redesignated, an incredibly dangerous precedent would be set. Irreparable damage would be done and the housing problem would still exist. This is a money grab and a bad idea. Do not do this.
Bill 23 is going to be a disaster for the province of Ontario, for its people, for the flora and fauna, for the land and waters. As Environmental Defense says, it is “inflicting a fatal 7,400 acre wound on the vital and wildly popular Greenbelt”.

Do not redesignate any land especially a conservation area. Enough damage has been done. We need to start densifying not continuing sprawl as it’s helpful to no one. Do not harm the environment any more than it has been already
The Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan was established to protect precious farmland, conserve natural sites, and restrict urban sprawl.

I am opposed to bill 23, we need to preserve the green belt. It is integral to the future of Ontario! Please stop building sprawling subdivisions into precious green space. Think of the future and not lining the pockets of rich developers. Doug Ford promised he would protect the green belt.
I object to the opening of the protected Greenbelt areas. We need the green spaces and that’s why they were protected in the first place. Any development there will affect the watersheds and wetlands. This will affect the rivers they feed into along with any plants and animals which live there.

Ontarians fought long and hard to have this sensitive area protected.
To change this is a violation of the democratic process and will be a huge failure of the Ontario Conservative party.
