Come on, Doug Ford. This is just pandering to your base and not solving gridlock. You know, that the only way to solve crushingly busy highways and roads is to get people off them. Make active and public transport even more attractive by making it easier. This way, the roads will free up. Lire davantage

This is the opposite of progress and will not save any time. Without dedicated bike lanes in a highly urban environment, cyclists will be forced to bike in traffic lanes and will slow down traffic even more. It's sad to regress as a province/society. We should strive for betterment.

Please add more funding to public transportation and alternatives to motor vehicles. The best way to reduce traffic is to remove the need for driving in the first place. Lire davantage

Bill 212 would be a total step backwards for Ontario. I live in Hamilton and this bill would negatively impact my everyday life. I do not have a car and cannot take public transportation, so I have to ride my bicycle everywhere I need to go. Lire davantage

This is a really bad proposal on so many blatantly obvious levels it goes against the way we need to think about sustainable and emission reducing methods of transportation. Lire davantage

I am very opposed to this bill that would it unsafe for me to bike to work. Why should I pay for parking downtown when biking is free? This is absurd. Focus on improving public transportation instead.

It's pretty sad and disheartening to know that this government is choosing to put people's lives at risk while every peice of data shows that bike Lanes do NOT increase traffic. In fact, they improve it. They also improve businesses. The BIA on Bloor is in FAVOUR of bike Lanes. Lire davantage

Bike lanes save lives and reduce traffic congestion. Studies around the world have proven that bike lanes reduce traffic. Canadian cities are already lagging far behind European cities in terms of pedestrian, cycling, and public transit infrastructure. Lire davantage

Hey, I want to say that bike lanes are a key component in any major city. Here in Toronto it is faster to bike anywhere than driving or taking the TTC out somewhere. Bike lanes save commuters so much time, its a greener alternative and they should be provided safely. Lire davantage

Awful policy move. This will cost you votes, specifically mine and my households.

I am against this. There is no need for this. Stop being against the people for once in your life Doug Ford.

The premier's decision to remove bike lanes in a major metropolitan center, bike lanes which provide safety and ease of transport for thousands of Torontonians seems both illogical and vindictive. Lire davantage

We need more safe and well thought out bike lanes across our communities if we want to improve congestion and the environment while also encouraging healthy living. Lire davantage

I've been able to follow most of this government's policies, but this one is completely backwards. Bike lanes get people off the roads. My partner and I came from midtown Toronto, where, thanks to the installation of bikes lanes, we hardly needed to drive our car, and hardly did. Lire davantage

Removing newly built bike lanes from major Toronto roads is a dangerous and irresponsible decision. These lanes are critical for cyclist safety, preventing accidents and saving lives. Lire davantage

Removal of bike lanes would be a waste of taxpayer dollars, and would fail to improve traffic congestion as explained in this short video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UabSO0X1rYw Lire davantage

It takes very little common sense to realize that taking existing bike lanes away is a waste of tax payer money and utterly pointless. In no way will this help traffic. Lire davantage

These bike lane implementations are getting out of control. Its about time some are removed. Bloor has turned into a constant jam thanks to the lack of proper lanes and the addition of the very UNDERUTILIZED bike lanes.

This is an abhorrent proposal that is in contradiction to proven urban planning principles and ignores studies that prove time savings for both car drivers and cyclists where bike lanes are implemented. Lire davantage
