In my life I have travelled to countries and cities where the quality of life and health has been measured to be outstanding. These places nearly all have incredible bike infrastructure. On a bike, we are moving our bodies, we can see each other and interact. Lire davantage

This is a great idea. Blood and Danforth have come to a complete stop during rush hour because of these bike lanes. Remove them and put them on side streets NOW

Bike lanes are crucial for people without vehicles and consistently keep roads safer. Bikers keep drivers aware and ensure they are consistently watching for pedestrians. You would not be helping the people by making it harder for cities to have bike lanes. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are a critical part of the future of transport in Ontario. They should be locally planned and organized and the province should not remove bike lanes or prevent new ones that have been determined to be needed by the local elected government.

Everything about the Bill is braindead. Incentivizing other forms of transit (like bicycles and public transit) is the only data driven method for reducing congestion. Lire davantage

I am disappointed by the province creating more red tape for cities to cater to their populations. The province should stick to managing provincial problems rather than telling municipalities what to do. Lire davantage

Just a really dumb idea. Why spend money undoing work? Party of small government and common sense indeed. Are we going to set up a department at Queen's park to review where stop signs are put in North Bay? Totally ridiculous.

Toronto has already seen a record number of cyclist deaths this year. This proposal is dangerous to the lives of commuters, just because they choose to bike does not mean they should be punished for not driving a car. Lire davantage

This bill is a Bad idea. This bill will make the right lanes automatic bike lanes, as per the Law. Bicycles are vehicles so they will just take up more traffic space. Lire davantage

This is a regressive policy. Individual communities should be making these decisions on a local basis, not being dictated by the Province. Lire davantage

There is no data to back-up the claim that bike lanes cause congestion. Cars cause congestion, and the more people out of cars the better. Bike lanes are also shown to support commerce on streets, two studies below state this, and it was seen on Montreal's Cristoph Colombe. Lire davantage

The province should not be interfering in municipal matters. And if it does it should not be interfering in such an uninformed manner. Every study shows that bike lanes reduce congestion by taking drivers off the road. Lire davantage

I don't need Big Government telling my city where it can or cannot build bike lanes!

Terrible idea to remove bike lanes. Purely political distraction from the most pressing issues we have today.

This is a terrible, short sighted idea. People who believe this a good idea clearly don’t cycle. Is there any evidence to support this? Perhaps the Premier could cycle around the city for a week and see how he feels?

I do not agree to removing bike lanes, this would make it unsafe for myself and other cyclist to get around Toronto and other locations in Ontario. We need more bike lanes and safe ones with barriers!

This piece of legislation is a pointless distraction that won’t reduce traffic and will make roads less safe for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. It is also a massive overreach into municipal jurisdiction by the party of “small government”. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are necessary to ensure the safety of riders, without them cyclists will still be cycling, the difference is their lives will be placed at a greater risk. Lire davantage
