First, it is an absurd overreach of provincial power. Why is the province wasting its time and resources micro managing municipalities? Second, ripping out existing bike lines is just a stupid waste of money. Lire davantage

What studies have been done on the cost of removing an existing network of bicycles that legally have the right to take up an entire lane of traffic anyways? How does that solve congestion? Lire davantage

Forcing cyclists into the road instead of a dedicated lane has obvious impacts to both risk and congestion of roadways. There are years of studies that show a multitude of ways to reduce traffic that are being completely ignored with this proposal. Lire davantage

This is a massive over-reach on the part of the province. Decisions about bike lanes in different cities & towns around Ontario should be left up to the municipal governments of those cities and towns. Lire davantage

Why are we adding EVEN MORE bureaucracy? This is a waste of time money and effort. This bill will allow citizens to influence municipalities that they never step foot in. Lire davantage

This is a truly stupid proposal for a law. Doug Ford give your head a shake and give up on this nonsense.

I am strongly against this bill. there is No evidence to back the claims of this bill. Bicycles should be the priority for a healthy future. It helps the environment, it helps human health and it keep cars off the roads, reducing traffic congestion. Lire davantage

BIKE NAMES SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED!!!!! REMOVING BIKE LANES FORCES PEOPLE TO USE CARS WHICH ADDS TO THE CONGESTION. THE PROPOSAL MAKES NO SENSE. KEEP BIKE LANES AND INCENTIVIZE PEOPLE TO USE THEIR BIKES.

This is ridiculous, every study shows that having alternative forms of transportation reduces traffic. This bill is so backwards that I'm honestly speechless. The result of this bill will be a mix of more people in cars and more bikes riding in the middle of the lanes. Is that beneficial to anyone? Lire davantage

More people in the city, bike as the primary mode of transportation than drive a motor vehicle. It is destructive to the flow of traffic to tear out the current bike lane infrastructure. The only proven effective way to reduce congestion is to disincentivize driving cars. Lire davantage

Hello, I am writing to strongly oppose the proposal. Bike lanes should be a municipal decision, built according to the needs and desires of the municipality in which bike lanes serve as important transportation infrastructure. Lire davantage

The people of this province are sick of Doug Ford playing tyrant over the city of Toronto instead of spending money on much needed healthcare, education, public transit, or any other worthwhile social services. Driving is the least intelligent way to get around a major city. Lire davantage

I am against everything in this bill except the bit about beefing up internet access for rural areas. If you want to improve traffic, build better mass-transit systems, fund existing ones better, and make it easier for people to choose NOT to drive.

This proposed law is a horrible idea. -Most cyclists are also drivers. If they can't ride their bike (and removing the Bloor, University, and Yonge bike lanes means there are no other SAFE options, many will drive and there will be that many more cars on the road, creating gridlock Lire davantage

Don't remove bike lanes, and don't make bike lanes harder to be created. They are essential to people without cars, and the alternative of biking in care lanes is more dangerous to everyone.

The Ford Conservatives vote against legislation to remove red tape to convert unused office space into housing and want to add more red tape to the process of constructing bike lanes. This is the government of gate keepers and special interest groups. Stop with the red tape and the gate keeping. Lire davantage
