Strongly opposed to this bill and believe it is directly contrary to evidence showing bike lanes improve traffic.

This is terrible legislation on multiple levels. First, it is an absurd overreach of provincial power. Why is the province wasting its time and resources micro managing municipalities? Second, ripping out existing bike lines is just a stupid waste of money. Lire davantage

Please get rid of the bike lanes on primary road ways. In particular e-bikes/scooters, they often completely disregard traffic rules and create unsafe conditions for both drivers and bikes.

Bike lanes reduce congestion more effectively than car lanes because they accommodate many more users in less space. They encourage cycling as a safe and efficient alternative to driving, leading to fewer cars on the road. Lire davantage

This is a bad idea for a multitude of reasons. Think about how the trafic will be impacted by the cyclists still using those roads...

This is a massive waste of tax payer money. What is worse, it is based on zero scientific evidence that the bike lanes are causing congestion.

I believe the province should not be telling cities how to manage their streets. Toronto has decided (under conservative mayor Tory) what is best for its people - the province should respect that! Lire davantage

if we could use 0.2% of the energy we’re spending trying to kill cyclists, we might finish the eglinton crosstown this decade

I oppose this plan. It will not help gridlock and will endanger the lives of cyclists. I live off Bloor and use the bike lanes every day to get to work. I would also like to be able to bike on Dupont safely, and support new bike lanes proposed there. Lire davantage

Strongly oppose of this bill. Removing bike lanes already built by cities is a waste of tax payer money. There have already been studies showing how adding an extra lane does NOT improve traffic. How about improving public transit? Lire davantage

This is no place for provincial legislation. This act should be dropped. Transportation planning is done at a municipal level. Let the municipalities decide where the bike lanes belong, where roads need to be wider or put on a diet. the province should not interfere in this arena. Lire davantage

Bike lanes make driving safely easier. As someone who drives in the downtown core frequently, bike lanes help ease my anxiety about hitting someone accidentally and help me see bikers more clearly when making turns.

I am horrified that Ford is threatening to remove bike lanes. I guess he thinks that the people who ride bikes are not his responsibility - they probably don't vote for him. All studies show that bike lanes reduce traffic. Lire davantage

Do not try and skip the environmental assessment. Stop wasting time with municipal matters and focus on healthcare, schools and housing.

Bike lanes make help move traffic, when bikes are in the same lane as cars everyone suffers. Cars are slowed down, cyclists are less safe and it is hard we for everyone to navigate streets. Lire davantage

This is an atrocious bill. Gridlock will remain no matter how many highways and lanes you build. The only proven way to fight gridlock and traffic congestion is to supply efficient and reliable alternative transit methods which reduce the amount of cars on the road. Lire davantage

I am strongly opposed to this proposed bill. Bike lanes help many get around the city safely. Why is Toronto moving backwards removing bike lanes while cities elsewhere are promoting this sort of infrastructure. The provincial government should also stay out of municipal issues.

As a resident of kitchener, I can say that Bikelanes have gotten out of control. With little to no rhyme or reason, we are seeing multi million dollar roads get redirected to nowhere for bike lanes that are never used. Lire davantage

The provincial government has no Buisness changing the city roads, our premier needs a brutal reminder to stop messing with the city. This bill is yet another failure from this government to protect it’s people and is just another political ploy that he cannot get away with. Lire davantage
