I cannot drive a vehicle because of a disability. I can however bike and am using the current bike lanes. Why is the provincial gov trying to remove my transportation method?

Making the city less safe to bike in will not help it's people. We need alternatives to cars instead of prioritizing cars at the cost of other modes of transportation. Bike lanes on Bloor are vital for the accessibility of biking as a mode of transportation.

I have been a Toronto resident for over 20 years. I have seen the pedestrian and cycling environment slowly improving in the city over this period. Lire davantage

As a government that claims to stand for reducing red tape, this act introduces a concerning amount of red tape for municipalities. I am a driver, and I feel strongly that municipal traffic design decisions should be kept with the municipalities, who know best about their own needs.

I don't support this proposal at all. It's adding unnecessary red tape, will waste tax payer money and restricts my options on how to get around in day to day life. I'm also seriously concerned that this will impact my personal safety. Everyone deserves to be able to feel safe when traveling. Lire davantage

The province should not be adding red tape to prevent municipal governments from making their streets safer, more convenient, and faster for cyclists, let alone requiring the removal of some of the most important cycling infrastructure in Toronto. Lire davantage

This is a sad proposal and your government should be ashamed that it’s made it this far.

Bike lanes are an essential method of transportation, and so they are a necessary part of the Toronto's infrastructure. This bill puts the safety of bike riders at risk, as the bike lanes add a a layer of protection from cars. Lire davantage

The bike lanes are a nuisance clogging up traffic and barely used by a justifiable number of bikers. Would really appreciate it if the city could remove the bike lanes. Thank you!

This bill serves no purpose. The province should not be interfering with the decisions of local cities and communities about their local transportation options. Lire davantage

This is a foolish bill that does not reflect the reality of urban life in this province. This bill: 1. adds red tape and bureaucracy for local governments trying to increase transportation options - it's a completely unnecessary intrusion into municipal affairs. Lire davantage

Why is the province messing with municipal policy like this? Let the cities set their own by-laws, keep government small. And anyway, kids weaving in and out of traffic on bikes scare the life out of me. Lire davantage

This proposal is terrible and flies in the face of progressive changes that have already been made to advance transportation options for all road users, including drivers. This is a car-centric bill that does nothing to improve the lives of Ontarians in the least. Lire davantage

Hi there! This proposal is abysmally stupid. Why would the provincial government need to be consulted whenever a lane needs to be removed? The municipal governments know what’s best for their cities, NOT the provincial government. Lire davantage

Can we not make bike infrastructure harder to put in please, thanks. And also don't take away the ability for landowners to control their land. Cars aren't the solution to everything. Have you ever heard of a walkable city before? There are much better solutions than "more cars". Lire davantage

I am a cyclist, and surprise, a car owner as well! Whenever I get the chance I take my son from our home in Toronto to his daycare in Etobicoke. With the removal of bike lanes you can rest assured I won't be taking him by bike anymore. So this will be adding another car to the commute. Lire davantage

Not only is this a MASSIVE overstep by the provincial government to force this on a municipality, but the reasoning behind it makes absolutely no sense: - Why is the PROVINCIAL government adding red tape and bureaucracy to decisions that fall under MUNICIPAL jurisdiction? Lire davantage

I do not support this bill and would like to see it withdrawn for the following reasons: 1. It adds provincial restrictions to municipal problems, which will set a precedent of taking control away from municipalities and will prevent municipalities from solving their own issues in the future.
