As a resident of central downtown who relies on biking to navigate the city, I urge you to preserve and expand our bike lane infrastructure. Aggressive driving is a common challenge on Toronto’s streets, and dedicated bike lanes are crucial for the safety of cyclists. Lire davantage

This is a truly awful bill. It does absolutely nothing to reduce traffic or gridlock and the premier, his ministers and the rest of the government knows this. They are lying through their teeth to sell out this province. Lire davantage

This is not going to reduce travel times for commuters numerous studies have found that the way that you reduce travel times is through providing others with different types of travel other than cars. Lire davantage

Leave municipal decisions regarding cycling lanes to the municipalities, who are the ones with the traffic studies to back up the information. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the framework for bike lanes proposed in Bill 212. Prioritizing cycling infrastructure is a critical step toward reducing gridlock and improving urban mobility. While cars are often seen as essential, they dominate public space, leading to congestion and pollution. Lire davantage

You do understand this is completely idiotic and will not help reduce congestion. People still need to bike to work. This is unfathomably stupid. Not only will you be making congestion worse you will also be endangering lives. Lire davantage

As a Toronto resident who drives, cycles, and takes public transit I am vehemently opposed to the removal of any and all bike lanes in this city. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this proposal. The role of our province and city is not to facilitate *drivers* but rather to facilitate *people*. It is a regression and a waste of precious funding to remove bike infrastructure which is vital for facilitating people getting to where they need to go. Lire davantage

Let municipalities govern their own roads. Adding bike lanes helps with congestion, and making them harder to construct will not reduce gridlock. Lire davantage

in the words of Premier Doug Ford: “You’re nervous when there’s no bike lanes. At least I was. We have to do everything we can to make sure there’s never a death in the city. One death is way too many when it comes to bicycle riders.” (2017) Lire davantage

This proposal will do absolutely nothing to advance the "objectives". Bike lanes take bicyclists out of traffic, which makes traffic move more efficiently. Bike lanes make the roads safer for both the bicyclists and the motorist. Lire davantage

I've been a long time conservative supporter, and voted for Doug Ford. I also own a store on Bloor west with a bike lane out front. I just can't believe this provincial government is making decisions based on 'feelings' and 'popularity' of ideas, rather that fact-based data driven decisions. Lire davantage

This will kill cyclists since they will be forced onto the road. Maybe use the money for our crumbling infrastructure and healthcare?

Tax money should not be spent taking out bike lanes. We need bike lanes. This is a terrible idea.

This is a horrible backwards plan. Stop the premier from playing mayor, and the nonsense about teaming good highway forward at all costs is ridiculous. Lire davantage

When transit is too slow, I bike, when my route has no bike lanes, I drive. Removing bike lanes will put my car back on the road more frequently and increase gridlock within the city limits. This plan has no benefits to me as a driver or a biker.

The installation of bike lanes should be left to the cities. Requiring ministry approval is overreach, the province has no business making these demands. Bike lanes are part of a series of solutions to make our roads safer and reduce congestion by incentivizing other methods of transportation. Lire davantage

Bike lanes reduce traffic and save lives. It is an over reach of power for the province to mandate this. It is a massive waste of money to rip out already developed infrastructure.
